About the Event

A propos de l'événement

Join us online on June 10 at 12:00 PM ET for an exclusive member-only virtual event presented by Mikayla Morrey, Structural Engineer and Digital Enablement Project Manager at WSP in Canada.

This session will explore WSP’s advancements in digital technologies that support designers, owners, and developers in making informed, future-ready decisions around building decarbonization. At the center of this discussion is WSP Dahlia—a web-based optioneering tool designed to enable rapid, early-stage structural design decisions optimized for embodied carbon.

By integrating engineering automation with sustainability metrics, Dahlia empowers project teams to generate and compare structural systems instantly, helping deliver low-carbon, cost-effective solutions from the earliest stages of design. Unlike traditional tools that rely on detailed system-level inputs, Dahlia operates using minimal criteria typically available at project inception, such as bay size, loading, and gross floor area.

This approach addresses one of the industry’s key challenges: evaluating embodied carbon during the initial design phase. With Dahlia, engineers can make faster, data-driven decisions that meaningfully impact project outcomes.

Please Note: This session is part of our exclusive Member-Only 2026 Virtual Event Lineup. Registrations will be approved only if you, or the organization you work for, are active members of Building Transformations.

Not yet a member? We encourage you to join. Individual and Organizational Memberships are available. Please contact membership@buildingtransformations.org.
