As a Scheduler working out of our Oakville location, you will develop and maintain increasingly complex schedules for one or two projects. These exciting projects are valued at or above $75M to $150M and can incorporate a variety of scopes.

Responsibilities

  • Understands project document controls, producers and change management
  • Identifies schedule requirements in the contract and incorporates those requirements in the project schedule.
  • Provides supporting information for the development of schedule impact analysis for contract changes and project impacts.
  • Prepares quantity take-offs and incorporates the production analysis into the schedule.
  • Communicates and presents schedule updates to internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Contributes to the planning and scheduling process through various construction phases (preconstruction, construction, system completions, etc.).
  • Creates, maintains, monitors and communicates both the estimating and project schedules to the project team and district staff.
  • Creates 2D visual and 4D graphic schedules. Creates 4D schedules for larger projects.
  • Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in construction management, engineering or a
  • related discipline preferred.
  • Applicable scheduling certification an asset.
  • Knowledge of construction specifications, building materials, methods and
  • procedures, and the ability to read and understand construction drawings,
  • specifications, contracts and proposal documents.
  • General understanding of planning and scheduling principles, best practices and
  • techniques.
  • Ability to work independently, in a team and in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable systems.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera P6 EPPM.
  • Exposure to schedule analysis tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Critical Path Scheduling method related to the
  • construction industry.
