Who You Are

You understand the software and technical needs of an architectural practice and as a team player with a desire to help others, you are constantly aiming to problem-solve and optimize the design and digital process. Responsibilities

  • This role is the point person for trouble-shooting issues in Revit, Rhino, and other digital applications
  • Follows and implements Perkins&Will best practice standards and procedures
  • Assist the Digital Practice Manager in implementing BIM Execution Plan, Collaboration Plan, and Revit/Rhino Best Practices
  • Support Building Information Model (BIM) setup and early project technology planning
  • Create and maintain complex Revit models, families, drawings, and documentation to support project teams
  • Create and maintain Revit templates, libraries and standards under the direction of the Digital Practice Manager
  • Works with project teams, under the direction of the Digital Practice Manager, to ensure implementation of Perkins&Will best practice standards and procedures
  • Conducts model reviews to ensure P&W standards and Best Practices are being implemented
  • Supporting the Digital Practice Manager in training initiatives for new and existing employees for Revit, Rhino, and other design applications
  • Troubleshooting problems that arise in the project models
  • Automating processes within Revit and Rhino
  • Participating in weekly calls and updates with the Digital Practice teams and DAM group activities of Perkins&Will
  • Has a familiarity with Canadian BIM standards and workflows

Requirements

  • Architectural Technologist with 3-5 years’ experience in Revit and Rhino
  • Revit and Rhino super-user; demonstrated Revit and Rhino expertise in a professional setting
  • Grasshopper or Dynamo experience is a definite asset
  • Experience with Python, C# or VB is a definite asset
  • Has an innate ability to teach others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
