Key topics will include the evolution of the design concept, structural and connection detailing, manufacturing considerations, transportation logistics, and installation sequencing.In addition, the session will highlight the sustainability benefits of precast concrete systems through findings from recently published life cycle assessment (LCA) studies on precast building solutions. Attendees will gain insight into how modern precast concrete systems can support accelerated project delivery while contributing to improved construction efficiency, reduced waste, and lower environmental impacts.

Marco has an honours degree in Building Science and specializes in construction contracts and concrete technology. He has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, having worked for some of the largest companies in Canada in both consulting and general contracting. His experience includes working at a senior level on major infrastructure projects in Canada including the Site C Dam, the Gordie Howe Bridge, the Surrey Langley Skytrain, QEII Halifax Hospital and the Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital, among others. He is currently the Business Development representative for the Canadian Precast Concrete Institute representing more than 75 companies.
