Biographie

Thord Backe is Senior Director for AEC Generative Design at Autodesk. Thord has developed innovative software focused on Architecture and Engineering for 30+ years, and has spent the past 10 years leading the Revit and AEC Generative Design groups at Autodesk. Thord has been part of the Computer Aided Design evolution from the beginning of PC-CAD to today’s BIM solutions using advanced technologies. Now leading AEC Generative Design, Thord is focused on enabling Architects and Engineers to easily explore design options based on their goals, to make better design decisions. Thord and his team are developing software combining parametric modeling with performance-based design, Dynamo, the popular open-source visual programming and computational design technology, Project Fractal, the optioneering, optimization and data exploration engine used for Generative Design workflows.
