The AEC industry operates within a uniquely complex digital environment, where expanding toolsets and evolving project demands have produced fragmented ecosystems, interoperability challenges, and persistent data silos. Off-the-shelf platforms rarely align with the operational realities of a design studio, leading to costly add-ons, inefficient workflows, and institutional knowledge that is difficult to access or reuse. This session, led by Turner Fleischer’s Principal and CTO, Brent Mauti and Manager of Digital Practice, Artyom Savin, will explore how Turner Fleischer addresses these challenges by building deep internal digital capability with dedicated software development expertise. Rather than starting with technology alone, the Studio begins with business processes, data integrity, and how teams actually work—then develops custom tools aligned with that foundation. Bridging data strategy and in-house software development closes gaps left by commercial platforms and creates adaptable solutions that support both studio-wide workflows and project delivery.
Brent Mauti is a Principal and the Chief Technology Officer at Turner Fleischer, bringing over two decades of expertise in technology-driven roles at IBI Group and CH2M HILL. A Licensed Architect in both Ontario and Alberta, Brent has built a distinguished career with a strong focus on BIM, contributing to major global projects like the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Panama Canal Widening. He is a recognized leader in digital practice, serving as a Board Member for buildingSMART Canada and an active participant in The American Institute of Architects (AIA) TAP Knowledge Community Committee.
As CTO, Brent is at the forefront of advancing the Studio’s technology solutions, overseeing the development and implementation of innovative tools that enhance project delivery and support key business strategies. His work ensures seamless integration across platforms and drives lifecycle BIM interoperability, fostering greater efficiency and collaboration. Brent’s expertise in advanced project-level BIM consultation is pivotal in shaping successful project outcomes, from BIM Uses to Execution Plans, and ensuring accountability through the lifecycle.
Beyond his role at Turner Fleischer, Brent shares his passion for technology and design as a professor at George Brown College, and a guest speaker at various institutions and industry events, shaping the next generation of professionals in the industry.

Artyom Savin is the Manager of Digital Practice at Turner Fleischer, where he leads Studio-wide initiatives that advance digital workflows, enhance project delivery, and align technology strategy with long-term business goals. With a background in Architecture and technical leadership in BIM, software development, and IT systems, he operates at the intersection of design and technology to drive impactful change.
Artyom has been instrumental in introducing the BIM Coordinator role to improve modelling standards, redeveloping custom Revit tools through studio-wide engagement, and launching eTutor, a video training library tailored to Turner Fleischer’s workflows. Artyom ensures digital tools are not only technically sound but adopted meaningfully across the studio.
Artyom’s impact extends beyond internal operations to direct project outcomes. He has directly influenced project delivery on large-scale residential developments such as Alias Condos and The Capitol Residences, implementing BIM workflows through Autodesk Construction Cloud to support live-linked, multidisciplinary collaboration with integrated clash detection. He has also led the development of in-house applications that integrate project and resourcing data for more efficient scheduling and fee management.
Dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous learning, Artyom curates the technology curriculum for TF Academy—Turner Fleischer’s in-house education program—leads the monthly Tech Talk Tuesday series, and mentors the next generation of digital leaders. He has shared his expertise as a guest lecturer at Toronto Metropolitan University and Durham College, and as a speaker at Advancing Computational Building Design.
Through a collaborative, solutions-driven approach, Artyom continues to shape our Studio’s digital roadmap by evaluating emerging technologies, developing automated tools such as Revit model health monitors, and advancing BIM execution standards.
