Hatch recently completed upgrades of two metallurgical furnaces for Anglo American Nickel in Brasil, with a total CAPEX of $220M USD. Building Information modeling (BIM) played a critical role in delivering the project 27 days ahead of schedule with 0 LTIs. Benefits realized through use of BIM were an order of magnitude higher than the cost of implementing it.
