2016 Simulated Bid Competition is Underway!

The Construction Institute of Canada (TCIC) has launched the 2016 simulated bid competition, and teams across Canada are working hard to reach the submission deadline. This annual competition brings colleges and universities from coast to coast together to try their hand at the construction estimating and bidding process. The competition had over 250 participating students last year, which makes for tough competition. There are a variety of awards that are handed out at the end of the competition, including prizes for professionalism and accuracy. This year the competition has evolved to offer an award for integration of BIM within a student submission. This is the first time this type of award has been offered and the submissions are sure to be impressive. As a sponsor of this year’s competition, CanBIM will continue to provide updates and coverage of the competition and awards gala, taking place in mid April.

Good luck to the competing students!
