Ryerson University (Toronto) condeucted a BIM survey focused on Best practices for BIM Execution Plan development for a Public-Private-Partnership DesignBuild-Finance-Operate-Maintain project Introduction: This project, conducted by researchers at Ryerson University, is to develop a framework that will be used to guide the development or adaptation of BIM Execution Plans for the delivery of Public-Private-Partnership (P3) projects. The online survey distributed mainly in Canada was created to investigate how extensive BIM has been used in P3s in the industry and practitioners’ perception of the benefits related to BIM use during pursuit and post-award stages respectively. The survey was open from March through to May 2015. During that period, they received 57 survey responses from BIM users across the design, construction and facilities management sectors. Preliminary results are shown in the following figures; full results will be published later this year and that publication will be announced using the #P3BIM hashtag on Twitter.
