CanBIM Welcomes its Newest Board Member

CanBIM announced its newest Board Member as part of its 2016 AGM in Toronto at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. There was one vacant seat available to be filled with several qualified and enthusiastic candidates to consider the choice was not easy, but the CanBIM Board Nomination Selection Committee voted unanimously to put forward to the CanBIM Membership at this years AGM that Brent Mauti, Global Director, Design Technology at IBI Group was the best fit for the vacant spot. Brent has been contributing to CanBIM since day one, at the first ever CanBIM Regional Session in 2011 he presented a fascinating presentation on Global Delivery and Connectivity Through BIM . Since then Brent has accomplished much in his professional career as a BIM professional and is an active contributor to the CanBIM Certification Process; as a CanBIM Certified Professional himself, Brent participates as a Certification Assessor. Brent is an active participant and presenter at post secondary institutions and industry associations and his helping to shape the next generation on BIM professionals with his extra curricular contributions. The CanBIM Board is honoured to have him involved as a Board Member and looks forward to his involvement in the months and years to come.

About Brent:

Brent Mauti is currently the Global Director for Design Technology within IBI Group, after a decade of fulfilling a similar roles for CH2M HILL. He is responsible to improve delivery of design services and processes while supporting critical business strategies by managing the development, implementation and maintenance of all firm wide design technology solutions. He provides advanced project level BIM Consultation to identify appropriate BIM Uses, mold BIM Goals, generate a BIM Execution Plan, and ensure accountability for successful lifecycle delivery. He also coordinates a collection of "Global Technology Portfolios" and "Regional Technology Leaders" aimed at achieving global synergy across the firm. Brent is a licensed architect who has focused on BIM throughout his career. He has been involved with major projects such as the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Panama Canal Widening. He has presented at numerous conferences hosted by Bentley, Canada BIM Council, IIDEX, Ontario Association of Architects, and the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada to name a few. Brent's passion focuses on lifecycle BIM interoperability and cross-platform synergy.
