The importance of engaging and supporting today's students is an important step to future-proofing a healthy AECOO industry. CanBIM has developed a NEW Membership category that will allow Students enrolled in programs at academic institutions that are current CanBIM Members, to actively participate in CanBIM initiatives alongside industry leaders. CanBIM Committees are just one of the initiatives where students will get first hand exposure to industry challenges. CanBIM Committees are actively addressing the daily challenges of BIM implementation, while also participating in longer-term initiatives for the adoption of BIM in Canada.

"The pathway from education to jobs is not always an easy one, but this program will help" states Pietro Ferrari, Chair, CanBIM Education & Research Committee.

The Student Affiliate Membership will engage students and offer them an unparalleled opportunity to get their careers off to a strong start. The intention of this new membership is to nurture and guide the future leaders of the industry by giving them access to current industry challenges, introducing them to key decision makers and industry leading mentorship.

"For students looking to bridge the gap between academia and career, the CanBIM Student Affiliate Program is great place to start" says Gerry Lattmann, Executive Director, Canada BIM Council.
