CanBIM Announces NEW CanBIM Board Member

Prior to the Inaugural CanBIM awards, the CanBIM Board elected its newest Board Member, Christian Proulx, Aéroport de Québec, Project Manager. Proulx is a Professional Mechanical Engineer who currently Chairs the CanBIM Owners & Facility Managers Committee, which addresses the BIM needs and challenges for that community. Christian brings great passion and experience to the CanBIM Board and has already demonstrated initiative in the short time as the Chair of the Owners & Facility Managers Committee.

Christian Proulx graduated as a professional Mechanical Engineer from École Polytechnique de Montréal in 2005. He started his career as a 3D CAD Specialist with Creaform and from there rapidly transitioned into working for Verreault in Quebec City. For the last 8 years Christian has been working with Aéroport de Québec inc. He began as a Project Manager for Special Projects during major construction and renovation of the airports terminal in 2007 and 2008. Then as a Manager of the Project Department, he started implementing planning and monitoring processes and built a project department team. When AQi created a planning department, Christian was selected as the Senior Airport Planner and more recently he is transitioning into a Project Management Role. Christian is also the newly appointed Chair of the CanBIM Owners Committee.
