Welcome to the brand new voice for BIM in Canada. Canada BIM Council (CanBIM) and buildingSMART Canada (bSc) are joining forces to deliver one monthly newsletter.
This is the first of many joint offerings to come from the two groups. We are very excited to be working together and we look forward to delivering a single unified voice for BIM in Canada.
As part of the recent MOU (memorandum of understanding) signed in November 2017 between buildingSMART Canada and Canada BIM Council, both National groups will work to deliver a variety of initiatives that will not only align the two groups operationally but will create the foundation for a single voice for BIM and VDC in Canada.
Both groups will begin co-branding all buildingSMART Canada and Canada BIM Council initiatives from events to publications and much more.
Some of the other expected joint-efforts include:
delivering an updated version of the buildingSMART Road Map to Lifecycle BIM,co-branding and co-planning of the CanBIM Innovation Spotlight,co-branding and co-planning of the Annual CanBIM Awardsco-branding and co-curating of the bSc Online BIM Forum investigating the alignment of the online presence for both organizations
These are just a few of the action items CanBIM and bSc will be exploring. As the two groups develop a closer working relationship, progress reports will be delivered via the monthly joint newsletter.

Bienvenue à la toute nouvelle voix de BIM au Canada. Canada BIM Council (CanBIM) et buildingSMART Canada (bSc) unissent leurs efforts pour lancer un bulletin mensuel.
C'est la première des nombreuses propositions conjointes à venir des deux groupes. Nous sommes très heureux de travailler ensemble et nous sommes impatients d'offrir une voix unifiée pour le BIM au Canada.
Dans le cadre du récent protocole d'entente, signé en novembre 2017, entre buildingSMART Canada et Canada BIM Council, les deux groupes nationaux travailleront à la mise en œuvre d'une variété d'initiatives qui permettront non seulement d'aligner les deux groupes sur le plan opérationnel, mais aussi de jeter les bases d’une voix unique pour BIM et VDC au Canada.
Les deux groupes commenceront le co-marquage dans toutes les initiatives de buildingSMART Canada et du Conseil BIM Canada – des événements aux publications et bien plus encore.
Parmi les autres efforts conjoints prévus figurent :
la livraison d’une version mise à jour de la carte routière de buildingSMART à Lifecycle BIM,le co-marquage et la co-planification du Coup de projecteur sur l'innovation CanBIM,le co-marquage et la co-planification des Prix annuels CanBIM,le co-marquage et la co-conservation du forum bSc Online BIM,une étude visant l'alignement de la présence en ligne des deux organisations.
Ce ne sont que quelques-uns des points prioritaires que CanBIM et bSc sont en voie d’explorer. Au fur et à mesure que les deux groupes développeront une relation de travail plus étroite, des rapports d'étape seront livrés via le bulletin mensuel conjoint.
