Chris Pawlik

Founder/CEO & MD - EPR^2, Inc. (Energy-Producing Retail Realty, Inc.)

Chris brings close to two decades of broad based real estate, finance, and energy experience to his role as Founder/CEO & Managing Director at EPR^2. After filing for a provisional patent in 2010, Chris (along with his business partner Andrew Cameron) formed a company focused on the idea of developing energy rights as a real estate asset class for cleantech. Energy rights allow for a real estate approach to accelerate cleantech deployment on existing buildings while aligning the interests of property-level stakeholders as well as investors in both the underlying property and the proposed cleantech project. Prior to founding EPR^2, Chris was an integral member of an institutional equity advisory team based in San Francisco and focused on advising clients on their West Coast assets and portfolios. Before that, he was responsible for Mid-West real estate acquisitions at a boutique private equity firm that acquired ~$2.0 billion of assets in 18 months; Chris was responsible for acquiring ~$500M of that total. Chris holds a triple degree from UC Berkeley (Haas-BS Business Administration, BA Political Economy, and BA Slavic Languages & Literature).
